Customer Support at Kinsta is not an afterthought; it is part of the Kinsta DNA and culture to provide world-class assistance to our customers. We are looking for a Technical Content Creator to join our Internal Support team to enhance and strengthen our Technical Support training programs.

As a Kinsta Technical Content Creator you will:

  • Curate continuing education and training materials for Technical Support teams.
  • On an ongoing basis, generate and improve continuing education materials such as quizzes, LMS courses, and hands-on learning environments.
  • Research new features being added to the Kinsta platform and produce all required training materials accordingly.
  • Create customized continuing education and training materials to address specific training needs and subsequently transform these materials into a format suitable for use by all Technical Support teams.

Requirements:

  • As this role is centered around creating training materials, you need to be an amazing English writer and communicator. Being able to explain a complex technical concept and process in a straightforward and user friendly fashion is critical.
  • Advanced technical knowledge and understanding of common hosting-related topics such as CDN, caching, DNS, Git, Linux (Ubuntu), MySQL/MariaDB, NGINX, PHP, regular expressions, SFTP, SSH.
  • Advanced technical knowledge and understanding of WordPress, its database structure, file/directory structure, wp-config.php directives, WP-CLI, and other common WordPress-related topics.
  • Technical knowledge of technologies used in modern WordPress development: Node.js, headless WordPress, static site generators, and other similar technologies.

Bonus points:

  • Previous professional experience in a technical content creation role, particularly with a training focus.
  • Previous experience creating video screencasts with voice overlays.
  • Prior professional experience working directly with customers in a technical support capacity within the web hosting industry.
