We are currently looking for an HR Generalist who will be responsible for the accuracy and maintenance of all regional HR data, administration of all HR information systems, and general administrative support of Kinsta’s Human Resources department. The HR Generalist will act as the first point of contact for all questions from Team Members for Hungary, related to the administration of personnel data, benefits, and HR information systems.

This role is a one-year fixed-term contract.

What you will do:

  • Organize and maintain regional personnel records for the organization.
  • Keep all internal HR information systems and databases up-to-date. This includes maintenance of data in SageHR, EOR platforms, any HR-related data spreadsheets, and may grow to include additional databases and information systems in the future.
  • Create reports for internal teams and members of management upon request.
  • Accurately maintain personnel data and files (paper-based and digital records), ensuring confidentiality and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. 
  • Assist payroll processing agencies with recurring record keeping and payroll processing activities as necessary to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations and the timely completion of payroll. 
  • Ensure timesheets and timecards are completed. Verify accuracy of all time records.
  • Act as the first point of contact for questions from Team Members in the region regarding HR data or information, and provide answers confidently, accurately, and with proper regard to data privacy based on HR information systems and adherence to policies and processes.
  • Own the onboarding process end to end; from the contract management to introducing the new team members to Kinsta. 
  • Ensure offboarding steps are completed, including communication with departing team member’s leaders, offboarding checklist items, and access removals.
  • Carefully review all company policies and always make sure to act in compliance with them. 
  • Document new and updated HR processes, checklists, and files within applicable applications such as Confluence, SageHR, and Google Drive.
  • Ensure regional processes and procedures are aligned with Kinsta’s global approach.

What you bring to the table:

  • Minimum of 1 - 2 years of demonstrated work experience as an HR Administrator, HR Generalist, Payroll Specialist, or another similar role.
  • Impeccable professionalism and discretion, as you will be operating in an HR role that will have access to a great deal of sensitive information.
  • Near native-level fluency in both written and spoken English and Hungarian is a strong requirement.
  • Experience managing HR providers.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience writing and updating HR policies, workflows and other documentation.
  • Work experience in a distributed global company or in a technology startup.
  • Familiarity with EU payroll and employment laws Previous experience working with global companies and payroll activities for multiple countries.
  • Hungarian legal knowledge
