Brevity

Brevity is a web development and managed hosting studio in St. Louis, working since 2013. We kept the focus narrow on purpose: three disciplines, done well, instead of a full-service menu. We build for design-led agencies, in-house marketing teams, and a small group of direct clients who care how the work is built, not only how it looks.

Here is what we believe. Development is a craft, and the build is the second half of the design, not its cleanup. Our developers came up through design, so the layout you approve is the layout that ships. The spacing, the type, and the way a button responds all survive from the comp to the live site. A website is a living system that needs care, not a one-time delivery, so we treat it that way long after launch. AI has a place in our process: it clears busywork and helps us move faster. It never makes the decisions that need a person.

Custom development is the core. We build on a custom WordPress theme framework, with native WordPress functionality rather than heavy page builders that cost performance and control. That same care extends past standard sites to web applications, ecommerce, interactive touch-screen kiosks, and custom platforms. Accessibility and performance are built in from the start, not bolted on at the end.

Proactive website management keeps the site healthy after it ships. We monitor for security vulnerabilities and performance in real time, apply updates and dependency upkeep continuously, and maintain WCAG and GDPR compliance over time. Hosting is tiered to the size of the site, with a dedicated account team and direct access to the people responsible for your work.
