As an Internal Tools Developer, you'll use your development skills, curiosity, ingenuity, and passion to solve problems to build and maintain custom tools for our customer service teams (Technical Support, Billing, Customer Success, Malware & Abuse, and Migrations). In this role, you'll be instrumental in empowering and enabling our teams to maximize their efficiency as they deliver the world-class support and customer service Kinsta is known for.
 
 
 

 

What You'll Do:

    • Develop and refine specialized custom tools, integrating with core platforms via APIs to pull and push necessary data, designed to augment team member workflows and increase efficiency and effectiveness.

    • Logically and sensibly leverage AI in applicable feature development projects to further enhance team member workflows and abilities.

    • Assist with the administration and operation of servers that house internal tooling.

    • Provide assistance to end users (colleagues) on custom-developed tools and applications

What You Bring To The Role:

    • You are completely fluent in English with excellent communication skills

    • You possess a deep-seated curiosity and a passion for professional growth, constantly seeking to refine your technical expertise and soft skills alike

    • The ability to work independently in an extremely small team, ask probing questions, and proactively anticipate challenges and potential solutions

    • A penchant for looking beyond the text in the Jira ticket to think bigger and deeper about the assigned work 

    • You consistently meet deadlines and take personal ownership of outcomes. You communicate early if timelines are at risk and focus on delivering real business value quickly and efficiently

    • Excitement to use tools such as Claude Code to enable yourself to increase personal efficiently amid a “trust but verify” mindset

    • Experience in the following areas:

      • Python (Quart, FastAPI, async patterns, pytest)

      • TypeScript / JavaScript (Node.js)

      • MySQL

      • REST API structure & JWT authentication

Bonus if you have experience with:

    • LLM API integration (OpenAI, Gemini, Anthropic)

    • GitHub Actions CI/CD

    • Linux server administration (systemd, Nginx, PM2, SSH/rsync, Bash)

    • Redis (pub/sub, task queuing)

    • PHP / WordPress ecosystem

    • Svelte / SvelteKit & Chrome Extension development

    • Intercom API

    • GraphQL
