If you’re a Kinsta customer already or simply an online entrepreneur looking to diversify your income streams, joining the Kinsta affiliate program is a great way to earn extra money while recommending top-tier hosting.

As a Kinsta affiliate, for each WordPress referred customer, you’ll receive both of the following:

A one-time commission between $50 and $500
A monthly recurring commission of 10%

For Application and Database Hosting referred customers, you’ll receive:

A monthly recurring commission of 5%

How to join Kinsta’s Affiliate program

Getting started as a Kinsta affiliate is a three-step process.

Register as an affiliate

To sign up as a Kinsta affiliate, visit our affiliate portal. After submitting your details, a member of our team will get in touch with you to review your application.

Create your affiliate links

Create your affiliate links and download our banners to share on your sites and social media. We offer assets in a variety of colors, styles, and sizes.

To create an affiliate link, log in to the affiliate dashboard, on the bottom left click Create affiliate link, paste any URL you’d like to link to from the Kinsta website, and click Create link.

You can use any page or blog post on the Kinsta website, such as:

You can then copy the affiliate link generated with your affiliate ID. You can then use this link on your website, in an email, on a banner, or anywhere you like. When someone clicks on your link, it places a cookie in their browser that lasts for 60 days. You will then get credited for the sale when anyone purchases a Kinsta plan within that time.

The links created have the sponsored attribute to comply with Google’s guidelines. If you are using a third-party affiliate plugin like Pretty Links, they have easy ways to add the sponsored attribute to all of your affiliate links.

Earn commissions on referrals

As soon as your links convert, you’ll be credited with the referral commission right in your PayPal account.

Keep track of your referral commissions in the affiliate portal.

Affiliate dashboard

The affiliate dashboard shows you an overview of your referrals and payments.

Active referrals: The total number of referred customers. These customers have used your affiliate link to register a Kinsta account and create a new MyKinsta company.
Estimated next payment: The estimated total amount of commission you may receive in your next payment from Kinsta.
Total payments to date: The total amount of commission you have earned from referrals.
Referred page views: The total number of times your affiliate links have been clicked.

The charts on the dashboard show the following information:

Referred page views: The number of times the affiliate links have been clicked for the past 7 days.
Referred visitors: The number of visitors that have clicked on the affiliate links for the past 7 days. This number can differ from the page views as the same visitor may click on a link more than once.
Daily referrals: The number of customers that have used your affiliate link to register a Kinsta account and create a new MyKinsta company for the past 7 days.
Latest referrals: The latest customers that have used your affiliate link to register a Kinsta account and create a new MyKinsta company.
Latest approved commissions: A commission is approved when it meets all of the following conditions:
- The referred customer has never previously been a customer of Kinsta;
- The referred customer has made payment to Kinsta for the services;
- The affiliate’s account is active at the time the referred customer pays its fees to Kinsta; and
- Kinsta has received all requested tax documents (e.g., Form W-9) from the affiliate.

Referred customers

Referred customers is a list of all customers that have used your affiliate link to register a Kinsta account and create a new MyKinsta company.

ID: A unique ID for the customer referral.
Referred on: The date the customer was referred.
Plan: The WordPress Hosting plan the customer has signed up for. If the customer has signed up for Application Hosting or Database Hosting, the plan shows as Other.
One-time commission: This shows the status of the commission, which can be one of the following:
- Accumulating: There’s a 2-month qualification period for referrals of Managed WordPress Hosting to become certified. This window ends when your referred customer has had an active WordPress hosting subscription for 2 months and settled all payments. The monthly recurring commissions will start accruing once the one-time commission has been approved, and the accumulating message will change to the amount of the one-time commission. Referrals of Application Hosting and Database Hosting don’t generate a one-time commission and, therefore, are not subject to a qualification period; your recurring commissions for these referrals get approved once your referred customer makes their monthly payments.
- $50 – $500: This is the one-time commission amount you will receive, which depends on the plan the customer purchases.
- Cancelled before 60 days: This shows if the customer canceled the subscription or never subscribed to a paid plan.

Referred Visitors

This shows the URLs that contain your affiliate ID and how many times visitors have clicked on the URL.

Payments

You can view all of the payments you’ve received from your referrals and export the information to a CSV file.

Settings

This is the information you entered at sign up, including your name, website details, and PayPal email address. You can change this information at any time.
