Managed WordPress Hosting services included
Our Managed WordPress Hosting includes Google’s Premium Tier network, automatic updates of OS-level security patches, daily backups (both files and database with a minimum 14-day retention), and our Security Pledge.
Security
We keep your site safe from the infrastructure side with free hack fixes through our Security Pledge and cloud-based 1st layer defense through our Cloudflare integration on all Managed WordPress sites hosted at Kinsta. Our Cloudflare integration helps to protect against code and SQL injection, Layer 7 DDoS attacks, and generic malware/vulnerability scanners.
You will still be responsible for ensuring the security of your site’s application stack, including updating plugins and themes.
Uptime
In addition, we’re responsible for uptime, including infrastructure and OS-level configurations. We monitor your site’s uptime and respond to any issues that cause the site not to load. You can also enable site monitoring notifications to receive emails for critical errors that can affect your site’s uptime.
Automatic MySQL database optimizations
Though it can be an important factor in ensuring fast performance and long-term health of a WordPress site, optimizing the database often gets neglected.
To combat database performance woes, we offer a service that automatically fine-tunes your MySQL database settings based on your WordPress site’s needs. This optimization runs every minute and ensures better MariaDB performance.
Important
While we’re proud of this awesome new feature, it doesn’t mean you can ignore best practices though, such as:
- Uninstalling plugins the right way to remove left-behind database tables.
- Regularly checking your wp_options table for autoloaded data or using a plugin like WP Rocket to clean up left-behind revisions, transients, etc.
Pricing
With Kinsta’s WordPress Hosting, you choose the plan that best suits your site, and you can easily upgrade or switch your plan at any time if required. Our WordPress services use a pay-forward billing method where you pay for your usage in advance of your bill.
If you reach your plan’s resource limits, we keep your sites running but charge a fee for any overages. Overage notifications are enabled in MyKinsta by default, so you’ll be notified in advance about any overages.
What we don’t do
We don’t include custom design or programming, which are best left to your developer. That means we don’t take on the tasks of writing PHP code, creating or editing custom functions for plugins/themes, integrating or fixing external services, fixing issues related to bad themes or plugins, or updating website content.
